Lean Silvestre is an Empowerment Consultant and the owner of Shooting Star, a company that offers workshops, seminars and corporate consulting with a distinctive difference. The difference is that the people attending her events are more likely to remember what they learn at them because of Leah’s unique approach. Using techniques she learned over the past ten years, Leah’s interactive workshops and seminars encourage participant involvement and the use of as many senses as possible, in order to quickly realize their goals. This approach allows both sides of the brain to process the messages being presented.
Leah has a BS degree in Business with a concentration in Accounting, and a Masters degree in Business Administration. She spent twelve years working in the High Technology sector of the Bay Area. At the “high point” of her career, she found herself asking, “What else is there?” She found herself poring through self-discovery books searching for more meaning in her life. She left her high-paying corporate job behind and began taking life-coaching classes. Leah launched a consulting business doing strategic planning, financial & organizational systems work, training and executive coaching.
Leah left the Bay Area for Modesto, California and joined Haven Women’s Center of Stanislaus, a non profit corporation, fist as a volunteer, then as the Executive Director, a position she held for five years. In this position, she manages a $1.5 million budget, a staff of forty, twenty volunteers and worked with a thirteen member board of directors. Implementing the life-coaching strategies she had learned, Leah worked with her staff to inspire, motivate and recognize their need for self-care, life balance and incorporated levity whenever possible.
Leah is a member of the American Society of Trainers & Developers, National Association of Female Executives, Business Networking International and is the Vice President of Membership for the Stanislaus County Commission for Women.
